BKK airport to Conrad about around 6-7pm

We're scheduled to land at BKK at 6:15pm on a Wednesday. Having read through the various discussions of transport options, I'm a bit uncertain. Here are the options, from what I've gathered:
  • During peak times, 6-11am and 3-9pm, traffic can be a killer, literally hours. [So we'll be in peak traffic and it could take hours].
  • Uber or Grab (rather than a taxi) from airport to Conrad.
  • Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai Station.
    • Transfer to BTS Sky Train at the same station (have to buy another ticket, simple process)
    • Go to Phloen Chit Station. You do not have to transfer to the train at Siam Station (going in the same direction opposite side).
    • A Shuttle Bus at Phloen Chit to the Conrad will pick you up at the street corner -- the window will have a sign with the Conrad logo on it. [what does the second sentence here mean?]
  • ARL from BKK to Phaya Thai and then change to the BTS to Phloen Chit (option to grab a taxi at the beginning of the Wiresless Road or take shuttle)
  • Take ARL to Phetchaburi station (Makkasan St), change to MRT (yes, it involves walking via the flyover to Petchaburi St), take MRT to Lumpini and get taxi from Lumpini (Rama 4) to Conrad (about 50 Bath).
  • Airport rail link to Phetchaburi (Makkasan) station (2 x THB 35, 22 minutes) and then take an UberX to Conrad (THB 1 x 60-100, 10-15 minutes). Pick-up point is Asoke-Din Daeng Rd. at MRT Phetchaburi
