Soooo....for fun, I thought I would try the diabetic meal (DFW-EYW, a319) just to see if it had any redeeming quality. A little research indicated that it was likely chicken and steamed veg, salad and unknown dessert (I don't think the OP of that thread indicated dessert from a couple years ago).
In short, TERRIBLE!
Chicken had a really weird texture and, more stingy than the usual stringy chicken. The seasoning was terrible. I can't begin to identify what it was, other than reddish brown in color. I think it was served with steamed riced cauliflower, again, not good. The salad with roast red peppers was decent (didn't use dressing with due to the sufficient moisture of red peppers - could have been ranch or the ubiquitous balsamic. I received fresh fruit for dessert which was mostly ripe, and therefore, the best part of the meal.
I don't recommend unless your diet requires. And if it does require, bring your own food!
