I just phoned BAEC to do the transfer ... and the agent said that they are no longer allowed to do it (she claimed they received instructions a couple of months ago) ... and that she needed to raise a request internally to validate my credentials (on my other Avios account) and to investigate why it isn’t working and to do the transfer ...
And that I would get a call back within 72 hours!
Anybody else experienced a 72 hour wait to combine avios?
Last month I tried to move a stash from IB to BA and never had an issue but it failed. I emailed IB and for some reason my account was un verified even though it has been from day one. They raised a case and asked for a copy of my passport. A week later all completed and works again .
