In looking at DL footnotes, I suspect they may not actually look at fare basis codes to distinguish "Light" fares and only look for the "O" booking class which is only offered on intra-Europe fares.
I flew on a light fare last year and was alas credited the appropriate 10/5%, so somehow they know.
