It seems like Iberia is quietly phasing out Premium Economy, making it harder to book and maintain. Their new A321XLR to BOS lacks PE, and they’re flying the A330-200 more frequently to JFK, which also has no PE.

I originally booked VCE–JFK roundtrip in PE but found out—only because I checked my booking—that my flights had been canceled and I was rebooked into Economy without any notice from Iberia. I asked for new options over the phone, part BA, and the phone agent assured me my flights had "the same conditions", but my confirmation showed Economy on both BA and Iberia.

Next, when I tried to get that it fixed, Iberia refused to rebook me in PE, claiming they couldn’t find availability—even though I see plenty of PE options available in real time on their website. The agent also said all segments needed to be in PE, which is impossible since Iberia doesn’t even offer PE on intra-Europe flights. Has anyone else run into this issue?

They’ve escalated my case and said I’ll be contacted via email, but I’m skeptical. Any advice on how to get this resolved quickly?
