Hi I am having HKG->HEL flight in the evening (20:45). Do you think it is safe to book same day CX flight TPE->HKG arriving at HKG at 12:55? I mean considering it is two separate bookings. I would like to take advatage of interline agreement so there should not be a need for leaving security zone. I feel like it is 99% safe as CX is quite on time and TPE->HKG quite busy with tons of backup options from many airlines. I am just still thinking wherher I should not play even more safe and book even earlier flight in the morning or even day before in the evening but still keeping connection time bellow 24h. Then I would probably need to leave HKG airport and book accomodation nearby.

I feel it is still bit more convenient to take a slight risk and book the same day flight without a need leaving the HKG airport. Is it so that one can get mobile boarding pass via Finnair app and/or online check-in when flying from HKG right? Alternativelly, can CX transfer desk help with getting boaring pass for AY flight?
