Long term wouldnt CX aim to have B777X/A350/A330neo/A321 - simplified fleet offering covering all required capacities?
agreed. CX doesn't have skill of President Trump to pull of a stunt. Airbus more than well knows CX introducing 787 will end up with large additional cost and fleet complexity. besides, if CX doesn't want to buy a350 there are plenty of others who would. so CX doesn't have a trump card here (pardon the pun). they are better off going after financial compensation for Boeing delay and just go with a350
