Overall, I really liked the Sheraton Saigon and would easily return. Here are my impressions and photos:

Pros:
  • Upgraded to a Larger Suite and placed on the highest room floor (22)
  • Non-bathroom spaces in the suite were very nice and modern
  • Bed is comfortable - medium slightly firm mattress, covers of good plushness, plush pillows
  • Shower had good water flow - not the highest pressure, but it puts out plenty of water
  • Nice views out towards the city
  • Automated curtains
  • Living room TV has a modern Apple TV (tvOS 18) with YouTube and Netflix apps installed
  • No issue with requested 3 PM late checkout
  • Breakfasts are good (more on this below)
  • Staff is very friendly - mostly interacted with Club staff
  • AC in room works a lot better than at the JW and LM (though, hallways and elevators were warm)
  • Good afternoon and evening dessert selections in lounge
  • Staff went to get olive oil for dipping for me in the restaurant when I asked if it was present in the club - despite my protests that it wasn’t necessary

Neutral:
  • Club lounge doesn’t have a large spirit selection (no Bailey’s) and doesn’t seem to offer an obvious cocktail menu as the JW did (where the staff would make margaritas) - maybe I could have asked but I would have appreciated a sign

Cons:
  • Not much

Thoughts on breakfast: I had Saigon Cafe on Morning 1 and the club breakfast on Morning 2. I would agree that the omelets in the lounge are very good (I had 2) and the lounge has bacon as a filling choice, but the difference was somewhat marginal as the restaurant omelet was also very good. Restaurant selection seems larger and had pancakes / waffles (didn’t see those in the lounge). Coffee in the restaurant was much better as the lounge machine didn’t seem to disperse it hot enough. Club lounge definitely has more “present” service. I thought the hashbrowns tasted equal between the two options. Bacon was also good in both. I would probably go to the restaurant for the hotter coffee.

I would definitely return.
