Residents, do you think secondary at HND/NRT is better than the Tokyo Immigration Bureau if I'll already be in town not too far from Shimbashi or Shinagawa? I know government offices are often not where people go to look for efficiency. As residents, we don't get a card. We get a QR code in our passports. There's no interview. It's just a matter of filling out a form, presenting our passport and resident card, and registering fingerprints. There's no pre-application or whatever. So we're really not the right people to advise.
