I'm in Bangkok soon for the first time and considering this. Everything I read says StR is so convenient for the BTS but on the map it looks like the W/A can't be THAT much less convenient, but curious of the perspective of someone who's actually been there. (Google maps makes it seem like the public transit times are an hour to almost everywhere relevant, though, so not totally sure if this is a bad location even with proximity, or just that's how it is in Bangkok). How difficult is the walk between the two in practice?
