This is what I've done for CX bookings using AS miles. I can just enter my AA FFN when pulling up my reservation for the first time on the CX website.
No longer. Auto populates your AS # when booking from your account. Tried all the tricks but can’t change it. There are legitimate ways to get free seat assignments on BA with AS awards.
