This is the same question that was asked above but with DL/AF. We already know that if it's marketed by your chosen airline it will work. My hunch is that what you're trying to do will work as well because I believe this is going to be ticketed by AA, we just need someone to try this and let us know if it did. Maybe you can book it and then cancel it under the 24 hour policy if you see it's not fully ticketed by AA and are afraid you won't get the 35% rebate. I know nobody wants to be a guinea pig but if I ever have such a scenario myself and nobody tried it yet I'd book it to be able to provide that DP.
