I just did it again and went all the way to the end. It only allows me to purchase the ticket, no fare lock offer for May 31, 2025 LAX-EWR, and the same for a return flight in June. The LAX-EWR-LAX is always a United flight. Maybe they aren't offering fare lock on this route?
