Another example of how a one-off mechanical cancellation seems to turn into a multi-day delay for pax. WS can be OK when things run on schedule, but the moment they have a routine cancellation or delay, things seem to grind to a halt with no ability to recover. Sounds like the pax went to the airport 3 days in a row only to have the flight delayed an eventually cancelled all 3 days?

As noted, CUN isn't exactly a small station for WS; I see 13 flights scheduled for today, so definitely a sizeable presence. Looks like the CUN-YEG took the cancellation today, so seems like they're now spreading out the pain a bit?

An airline the size of WS need some combination of an effective ground support to deal with IRROPS, or an efficient central team that manages these things quickly. They have neither at this point. Plus, their IT doesn't seem to work for any sort or rebooking, and their customer service is frequently unreachable.

AC has issues, but at least pax typically get to their destination for domestic/US/Sun destinations within 24 hours for a one-off like a routine maintenance cancellation. WestJet seems to have a knack at turning a one-off cancellation into a disorganized 3+ day delay.
