Ironically, for a family, even Gold has reduced value unless your partner has it too, which has been the case in my house for the last 10 years or so luckily.
You are absolutely right and, yes, Mrs T is Gold as well. For me, the timing sucks because our daughter is about to go to university and we'd factored in the single Gold card going forwards. Having shown BA loyalty I/we feel aggrieved but I hope that doesn't come over as entitled!
