I'm one of the £10k-£15k 'Golds' that bisonrav referred to. Much of that spend is £700+ Return CE bookings made around one week out, so presumably quite profitable to BA. What I will lose in April 2026 is, access to the First Wing, seats in Row 1, Group 1 boarding and an annual GUF2. Dropping to Silver (as Staffsknot points out) holds no value because I'm travelling in J already. So, going forwards, I'm a free agent and will book what suits our budget and itinerary. In looking at our forward bookings, it's quite liberating, actually!
