Hi all,

New to EK...

I recently flew Emirates for the first time, and I ran into several issues. Hoping for advice on how best to handle them and what kind of compensation I might expect.
  1. Paid Seats Not Honored – I had paid for specific seats, but when I got my boarding pass at the airport, it didn’t show. I assumed that maybe we had been upgraded (since it was an A380), but once we boarded, we realized we were actually placed in the last row of economy in the middle (two passengers). When I asked, they told us to sit for now and that they would get back to us. When they later asked for proof, I showed them, but after that, nothing happened, and we never got our seats.
  2. Special Meal Missing – We had pre-ordered special meals, but they were not provided.
  3. Baggage Delays & Missing Items – Only 2 out of 4 checked bags arrived at our destination. The other 2 were delivered two days later, but now (about 15 days later!) we’ve noticed that some items were missing.
Has anyone dealt with Emirates on these kinds of issues? Are they reasonable with compensation? Should I go directly through customer service, or is there a better way to escalate?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!
