Hi all, so in February 2023 to January 2024, I successfully flew the 40,000 status miles to earn Elite (*A Gold) status, with the 2 year validity. At the time, I swear it was only 30,000 status miles over 2 years to renew, so I was planning for that (rather than the 25,000 miles for 1 year).
Now that it's February 1st, my requalification tab shows what I need over 2 years, and it is ~23.5k miles remaining. (I have 14k status miles from February 2024 - January 2025). I was surprised to see this, but it seems also that 45,000 miles are now required to requalify over 2 years? So... it seems like for me they have split the difference (37,500 miles over 2 years to requalify) rather than requiring the full 45,000 status miles...
Anyone else in this position? I guess I need to plan for the ~23.5k status miles that my app shows, but would rather be sure that will be enough as I'd hate to get to 37,500 elite miles, just to be told by TK on February 1st next year that I didn't meet the 45k-in-2-years requirement...
