Some comments
- Platinum gift of wine + plat of chocolates has been downsized to a box of chocolates (6) they give you at checkin
- Upgrade is pretty much city side to park side, or city side to high floor city side. Some rooms can be quite odd in shape, such as park side with a single small window.
- Lounge is very full, now restricting to only over 18 in the evening with an overflow space provided (ground floor?).
- Evening lounge has reduced mixer options (e.g. aperol is gone) and now wine, basic spirits and soft drinks
- Lounge food is solid, you could easily dinner here you wanted - but given excellent sydney options, why would you.
- Often putting people on front desk and sharing board room table - given this has been like this for over 12 months you would think they would work on options. Given SYD Hilton repurposed their excellent lounge and created a dungeon, we should be careful what we ask for....
- Lounge breakfast is solid - I usually take the points - I rarely eat breakfast much anyway, but i would be satisfied with lounge breakfast
- Never had internet issues
- Significant price rise in past 12 months.
- All new machines in the gym.
Marriott CQ provides better Platinum treatment.
