You need to do your own sums to see if it is worthwhile doing - but if you get allotted the Oryx Garden Hotel (airside) then that is cheaper than paying for the Oryx Airport Hotel (airside but different) and similar or cheaper than the pod hotel (but a lot nicer). You should get confirmation within 48hrs if you have been given an airside hotel - and can cancel at no cost if you haven’t. I am in a similar position to you in the sense that I have Al Safwa access and was wondering if I should gamble on getting a sleeping room - but I know that I would struggle without sleep if I didn’t get one - and $100 per person is a small price to pay for a guaranteed airside hotel room.
