Can I pay cash to buy up from a miles award to mint?

looking at flights to UVF and it’s a big jump in miles from regular seat to mint- but it’s only $50
more from even more to mint (we would buy up to even more) so if I can get award ticket then buy up to mint for that difference would be worth itnto
