for cancellations outside 24 hours before departure - if the taxes/fees paid is less than 42.50 eur - is an extra payment taken in before the avios are refunded?
In my experience, albeit with BA, they just refund the Avios and you get no cash back. There is no additional charge.
I imagine Aer Lingus work the same way. There'd be riots in the streets if people were charged a fee to cancel, I would think.
