I wasn't at the resort long enough to care that it was out of town. I did mostly day trips so I usually ate before heading back to the hotel. The trips had transportation provided and/or i used uber to return at a more convenient time. I found breakfast to be sufficient even though the buffet had fewer options than other hotels in the past. Continental is cold; full upgrade for 10nzd to include hot if you have status or breakfast included. Staff were always friendly and helpful and honestly i rank that that most important over the other stuff.

queenstown - I did that million dollar boat tour which i later realized which basically exactly the same as the water shuttle except more expensive on a larger boat and with commentary.
