If I had AS access, I'd probably roll the dice on a nap room. There are about a dozen of them. Last time I was there late at night, they were all occupied, as this is peak demand for transfers at DOH. I could add AS access to my flight, but don't want to drop $160 without a guaranteed bed. The pods look pretty crappy and noisy for the price. I ended up dropping roughly $350 USD on a room at the Oryx.
why not apply for the paid STPC - there is a good chance you would get the paid Transit Accommodation at the Oryx Garden Hotel for $100. You could have cancelled 24 hours before your flight if you weren’t allotted the airside hotel.
