If you qualified in the full year prior to the realignment (e.g. collection year ending Nov 2024) and did not qualify for the short year up to March 31 2025, will the soft landing only be valid for a few months until April 2026 or will it be a full 12 months from the non—aligned expiration date (Dec 2026 in this example)?

As we are under the old BAEC rules I’d expect to see your card extended on 1 April 2025 to align with the new fixed Membership Year.
