Thanks.... I would have figured that at least I could have them transfer over the credit limit to one of my AA branded cards.... but had gotten contradicting information from different sources. Your post below is ressuring. I actually have a decent credit limit of just over 50K on my Exec MasterCard so dont really need more credit there.... I wonder what the resident Citi experts think I should choose as a new Citi Card to replace my CostCo Visa..... I actually dont need another credit card but maybe I should consider starting to earn Citi thank you points...?

In essence, you are transferring the bank's credit limit from card A to B.
So, look at the cards you may be interested in at Citi, choose one and give them a call. Tell them you are going to be forced to close your Costo Visa card due to termination of your membership and wish to open a Citicard X and transfer the credit limit to that card when the Costco card is shuttered.
As long as you are a customer in good standing with them, I feel confident that they will be happy to do that for you.
