BTW... when we are in the AS lounge, do they make announcements for departing flights, or even better, take you to the flight? (I'm flying F to MLE)
Thank you.
Based on my experiences, it won’t be too bad when you get there but will exponentially get more crowded towards the end of your layover. There won’t be any announcements but if your gate is remote, you should be able to take a private F bus directly from the lounge.

There is nothing especially first class about this lounge any longer, it’s increasingly just a status lounge. The food does look better than historically in your photos, I grant you.
The shower wait situation is atrocious. If there’s one thing I personally want in a transit airport lounge, its to be able to shower after a long haul flight…everything else is window dressing. If the lounge isn’t able to fulfill that primary duty for me, it ceases to have much value. Hopefully you’ll be able to get one…I think they do allow line jumping if your boarding time is coming up. And fully agree, it’s a great business/status lounge (when not crowded)…but a true first lounge it is not anymore.
