I'm trying to gain status this year for Alaska Air so need to use my Alaska Air FF# when booking an international trip. I have an AAdvantage account and also have the Citi AAdvantage card that gives me preferred boarding. If I book the flights under Alaska FF, will I still be able to take advantage of that perk? My understanding is the perk is recognized by linking your AA account to a booking. So it seems like I wouldn't get the perk. Can someone clarify for me?
