I have been to this property a few times. The property and service are excellent. I felt very safe in the town, but it is what I would call a typical Caribbean local (not tourist) town. Some of the stores/homes in town are run down, others look fine, just not luxury. The beach is lined with a few hotels and many condo's and homes, but the area that this property is on is very private and they have their own beach. The beach is beautiful with white sand and Crystal clear water. The restaurant on property is very good, but there are 2 restaurants 1-2 blocks away that are decent and many within a 10 minute walk that I have not tried. There are several excellent restaurants 5-15 minute drive away. One great thing about this location is you can fly direct to POP from a few US cities and it is only 10-15 minutes drive to property from POP. There are a few pools on property - one main big one, a salt water pool and another pool away from the main area - so you have options and I never felt the pool area was crowded - never had to fight for a chair. Most rooms have kitchens, and there are a few grocery stores (small to big) within walking distance. I have not rented a car when there - but if you need a driver, I have used Jonathan WhatsApp +1-849-889-2675 and he was great and reasonable pricing.
