OP would not have that experience, as SEA-TPE-HKG on JX will require both a terminal change and reclearing security. I've done exactly that at TPE several times on other carriers and it is not particularly pleasant, particularly during the early morning hours when the airport is absolutely jam packed with connecting passengers.
I literally did SEA-TPE-HKG on JX two weeks ago. No security reclearance at TPE and the terminal change was walking from the C gates to the B gates. Not the shortest walk but the two hour plus connection meant it did not have to be done in a terrible rush.
