Just checked in for a 1 night stay. I thought this was a new build, but sadly it's a conversion of an old property. It's fine for me as a 1 night stop between the airport and yala. For 20k points, it was a decent redemption. The other attraction here is the turtle hatchery, I plan to check it out tomorrow.

As a titanium elite, I asked for the 1 king suite and got it. Also asked for 4pm late checkout and they offered 2pm. After push back they offered a different room from 2-4pm.

It seems like there's a lot of Chinese bus tours that stay here, but it's also their new year break. I don't think there's many hotels in Sri Lanka big enough to accommodate multiple bus tours. I didn't see any Chinese tours in the cultural triangle, Kandy or hill country.
