ICN-HKG-TPE-HKG (the immediate turnaround in TPE was to try out the new Aria Suite on the way back). And similar to OP, it was the middle sector that was missed. So does CX IT system randomly pick any 2 of the 3 flights to credit automatically?
That I think might be random

Never really asked them the in and outs but was told "fixing it"
