The crew operating GIG LHR would have been resting in GIG where there would have been a crew change. Likely one of the three pilots scheduled to operate GIG LHR was unwell. I’m guessing they looked at extending the duty for the two fit pilots which would have allowed them to fly as far as MAD but then there was a change of plan due to Flight Time Limitations
