This issue is moot given no awards on CI. But if it was available tpe would be the natural location for a stopover on CI unless the flight was on JL and I'd argue it'd be tyo than kix.

I suppose you go to TPE first, then go to KIX for a cheaper one way flight back to SFO (cheaper than flying from TPE). The additional 24K points for a business class from TPE to KIX is a very good deal.
