Palmer House for its history if you want to be located in the Loop. Some years ago it was beautifully restored. Personally, I prefer hotels around North Michigan.
Location is great but respectfully disagree on the rest. Palmer House is the only time I’ve literally entered a hotel, got to my room, then left immediately and had my room rate refunded.
Found the rooms were old and tired, the walls pretty fine and when they removed the executive lounge in Covid, it removed the only real charm for me. Went back to the hotel I’d previously booked.
