Check-in was held open at GVA for us by about 15 mins about 8 years ago. Coming from the alps, through a snowstorm in which a coach flipped and blocked the road. We were on the last flight of the day during a busy week. From memory, we walked straight from check-in to the gate, and were the last to board the plane.
