Ah, welcome to the back seat! Chicken or pasta? It was every bit as bland as it looks.

Arrival meal, "Mediterranean calzone".

There was nothing Mediterranean about it and it wasn't a calzone. Just had the yogurt.

One of the most boring flights of my life.

Today's meals in the back are 1/2 of what they used to be. Pre Covid economy meals had the main dish, a salad, a dessert, cheese and crackers, and that stale Rubschlager yeast roll - unexciting but mostly adequate. I sort of gave them a pass as airlines were exiting Covid yet still in cashflow survival mode, so expectations as a customer had to be adjusted. But now I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that you'd best pack a sandwich for 8-10hr transatlantic if seated anywhere but D1.
