Honestly, BR’s current Premium Economy (PE) hard product is decent but not outstanding. It’s functional and comfortable, but the lack of a dedicated leg rest, except for bulkhead seats, is a noticeable drawback, especially since most other Asian carriers include it’s a feature that many passengers appreciate.
That said, we’ll have to wait and see how B-17886 and B-17887 (which I assume are delayed?) perform once they enter service with the new PE hard product. Anyone know when these birds will eventually be delivered?
One thing I do love about BR is their long-haul scheduling. Most of their flights depart late at night and arrive in the morning, which significantly helps with reducing jet lag. I frequently use BR for US routes, and the schedule aligns well with adapting to time zones. This is quite different from SQ and most asian carriers outside Taiwan, where flights often depart in the morning and land in the morning, which can make adjusting more difficult.
It’s true that BR has been making cutbacks, and frequent flyers will notice them. However, for casual travelers, these changes are mostly unnoticeable. For example, my parents never picked up on the differences I pointed out, which shows that while these cutbacks may affect frequent flyers, the average passenger likely won’t be affected much.
