The most annoying thing with LIS is it seems to be SOP to start boarding busses just as the wheels touch down of the arriving AC, and then you end up standing on a bus for 20-30 minutes either still at the gate or at the remote stand watching the cleaners board and exit the AC. However, they can turn an AC around with incredible efficiency in times of delays, using forward and rear stairs and busses ready with pax to board as soon as the cleaners finish. This efficiency is however then often ruined by frequent ATC slot delays. I would say 8 times out of 10 the night stopping AC gets a contact stand at the terminal and 10/10 all other services are remote stands with busses.
