Where are the regular spots where the Gate Dragons measure and weigh 'small bags'?

I have no sympathy for those passengers who take the mickey (you see this at every gate line), but I do think the new measurements for a 'small bag' border on the silly. A few more centimetres in all directions and the bag will still easily fit under a seat. I'm fine with the 8kg weight limit though, that's plenty to be carrying in a 'small bag'. Drink a litre of water before boarding and that's another 1kg!

And if weight is so important, why don't airlines insist everyone go to the toilet before boarding? 300 people having a wee would save 150 kilogrammes - that's the equivalent of 8 large suitcases. Think of that 'carbon footprint' that would be saved!
indeed a compulsory pee at the gate would lower weight 😀😀😀

But I think they need more realistic rules and uniform enforcement. I CONSTANTLY witness people with 2-3 larger bags and no one says anything...

I have yet to be stopped as a AY platinum but I am sure the day will come, but I think its short sighted of ay to do so in the long run. A single bag platinum should be fine with them 😀 even if I dont pee before boarding
