RWY 33 does not have a published straight in approach due to constraints imposed by Joint Base Andrews. Options are the ILS approach to RWY 01, sidestep to RWY 33 or the RNAV (GPS) RWY 33 which follows the same trajectory.

That's for the investigation, but common reasons are request of the pilot for a shorter taxi, or request of ATC to increase capacity.
