We've been in the Hyatt Centric for a month now and really getting spoiled here. We had the entire place to ourselves in the beginning but they are slowly opening more floors and it's starting to get busier during the weekends. They are still in the growing pains phase and the staff are doing a heroic job when it's busy. Your experience can vary depending on how busy it is. Their croissants are quite legit and among the best I've had outside of France. Their breakfast is buffet style but has elements of sit down, that's why they aren't able to scale efficiently when it gets busy. The breakfast area also serves as their upscale Italian restaurant for dinner and is also quite good.

The room is a spacious studio style but very well thought out and no issues for a long stay at all. The public spaces are also very upscale.

As far as location, we like that the building is connected by bridge to Hap Seng 1 and 2, that have a few restaurants, Guardian, Family mart and 7-11. KL in general is not pedestrian friendly so you can be close to something that is not accessible or the walk is not very pleasant. It's very car centric, apparently the fault of Petronas.

We have globalist status and the staff already know us, which could be factor in our experience. Overall excellent value for 5K Hyatt points. I think it drops to 3.5K in March.

How is the breakfast at here?
