I have found recently that they seem to have adopted the Domino's pizza approach to pricing - have artificially high parking fees but then always have 10/15/20% off codes available for folk signed up on the Manchester Airport website. I presume this is to maximise revenue from non-price sensitive business travellers who claim it back while also being competitive for people paying themselves.
I have never parked at MAN for that duration - I live in south Manchester where a taxi is around £20 each way. If I can park for less than £40 then I will do, otherwise its a Taxi job. For non-early morning departures or late evening arrivals I've been on the 43 bus for £2 each way.
