I reached out to QR directly to get the seats booked. Was quite simple.
I think the ACCC still has to give their final approval for the proposed alliance. That’s probably the reason why the seat map is not yet available.
VA have a fleet of B737 aircraft.
Your flight will be operated by VA, via a Qatar QR wet lease with QR aircraft and QR crew on behalf of VA. A legalistic slight of hand for QR to get more flights to/from Australia.
Prime flight will be VA flight number with QR codesharing (its own flight)
