UA83 DEL-EWR Polaris yesterday

Flight was delayed due to weight miscalculation. Miserable 3 hours spent on the ground, sitting inside the plane, from midnight-3am without any food offered. I went to the galley and saw an FA eating a cheese-fruit plate from J. I requested her for some food (I had no chance to eat dinner due to a short connection) and she handed me these pathetic little things.

Meal service started at 4am and express dining was the only option. I went for the butter chicken (Indian option) and it was great. Bold flavors never disappoint in the air. Did not eat dessert.

Midflight snack of paneer wrap, veggie quiche and a lentil fritter. Again very tasty

At 17 hours scheduled time, this is one the longest flights in the world now. Map shows the detour they take to avoid the Russian airspace.

Breakfast was pathetic - tasteless omelette . The fresh fruit was the only good part of the meal.
