I'm a beginner, so take what I say with a grain of salt. But I would say this:
- You can have all 3 types at once, many do and it's a good idea. Just note the fees.
- I don't know whether the load limits are linked. However,
- I do know some people who think that they are banned from debit loading across all Serve+BB;
- I assume that part of the reason why people have multiple (sometimes more than one of each under the same SSN, not sure whether that's possible anymore) is to increase the allowed load velocity. But I don't actually know that, that's just a vibe I get.
- I got BB Amex, applied for Serve Visa a month or two later, and got denied. I whined about it on here, then someone told me that it was likely due to my applying so quickly back-to-back. I don't know whether that's the reason, but I guess be careful there? I am now seemingly permabanned from new cards BB/Serve/Spendwell. To this day I've only debit-loaded my BB once for $90. I hadn't loaded at all at the time of the denial and subsequent denied attempts. Just consistent direct deposits, groceries, electric and insurance bill through their bill pay interface, trying to look like a good person. My banking/credit history is clean, and back then at the time of the denial it was also "normal" (no churning yet at that point).
- There's also Spendwell which I think is very similar.
