Moved to board at WAW this evening at Final Call, despite it being T-35, but the gangway looked clear and my departure anxiety couldn’t cope. Standing in the inevitable line to board, lamenting my failure to board first (and ignoring the call for groups 1,2 & 3, with no zero), I’m wondering:

How long are outposts obliged to keep the gate open?

I know it’s about T-20 at LHR but are there any rules? My fear in outposts is the local team just don’t care, and will close the gate early if no-one appears after a certain time. It would be nice to know (and also have the Captain’s number if there’s any failure to comply…!)
