I half remembered it from a previous int'l arrival into IAH where they actually announced it. My routing was Central America to the Caribbean.

I have found announcements are happening fewer times than in years past re:IAH and ITI. I regularly put staff on BZE-IAH-LHR for example and anecdotally I am told it is about 50/50% on the announcement for ITI. They did announce it on a recent LH FRA-IAH flight though, specifically noting connecting to UA meant no pick-up, which was a first I had heard, presumable due to Star.
IAH was IIRC the first or in the first batch of airports to get ITI, it then epxanding to the likes of DFW and a couple others.
