It does sometimes take 2-3 days for AA points purchases to update, so maybe this is similar. However, I have had things be computer glitches here and there and a call to ACS will fix it. Please let us know. (And if for some reason this has changed, you can still take a survey you likely won't qualify for, get three useless miles, and have it all reset, so there's that...)
The points came instantly, the update of expiry 24 hours later. The expiry date was based on the date of the update, not the earlier date of purchase and points posting. But all worked out.
I basically post most of my OW flights to JAL, but still have a balance I need to find a good use for.
