A champagne question. On my recent flight from LHR to BKK the online menu featured three different champagnes, not including any rose. The on board menu had two listed but only one was available.
The available champagne was a Duval-Leroy and perfectly acceptable but the other two, listed but not on board, were more exclusive offerings, both being quite expensive if bought normally. Now I am not a champagne connoisseur but like most people will go for the expensive over the cheap to enjoy both the wine and the feeling of cosseted exclusiveness!
So is offering something special but not having it available the usual practice of BR, or was I just unlucky?
(The other red and white wines were available as listed.)
